Maiden Voyage

Blogging is one of those things that I compare the pro's and con's with often. The biggest con is how public it has the potential of being and the vulnerability it can expose the "author" too. The largest pro is the ability to think your thoughts out loud and in the process do a little self evaluation and reflection. Certainly, documenting where you have been and marking your goals for the future might also be another pro. Go big or go home, right?

God calls us to know our friends and neighbors intimately, to understand and discern their life's path and certainly to know how to better encourage those he has put into our lives. I think part of that is also to allow others to "know" us, our dreams, regrets, goals and accomplishments.

Simply put, who doesn't need a little inner self counseling through a free website with a simple blog or two here and there. There must be a happy medium between making your life so public that you open yourself up to vulnerability and allow the crazy next door neighbor (yes I have one) in knowing your every thought and in contrast simply sharing bits and pieces of your life as open yet guarded reflection.
